We are an Adult Education Division Member School of the Evangelical Training Association. Our faculty members are awarded lifetime teacher qualification approval to teach all ETA Church Ministries Courses. Curriculum and course descriptions developed by ETA and used with their permission.

Available Courses

  • 4 CEU's - This course presents foundational Bible doctrines in a popular, easy-to-understand format. Covered in the course are creation and the fall of man, faith and regeneration, justification and adoption, prayer and worship, angels, Satan, resurrection and judgement, and the church.
  • 4 CEU's - This course brings unity and chronological sequence to New Testament study by weaving the contents of the books around a central theme---the person of Christ. Divisions are the synoptic Gospels, the Gospel of John, the Book of Acts, the Pauline Epistles in chronological order, the General Epistles, and the Book of Revelation.
  • 4 CEU's - Old Testament Survey Part 1 includes the patriarchs, Israel’s trek to the Promised Land, David’s reign, Solomon’s kingdom, the kingdom of Judah, the exile, and the return from captivity.
  • 4 CEU's - Poetry and prophecy are explored in Old Testament Survey Part 2 to gain insight into God’s dealings with His people and to relate these great writings of the prophets to us today. With a chronological sequence of events, historic and contextual information is readily grasped.
  • 4 CEU's - This course covers the individuality of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the biblical teaching of the Trinity. Topics include the character/work of God; the preexistence, incarnation, deity, death, resurrection and return of Christ; and the personality and power of the Holy Spirit.
  • 4 CEU's - Believers should be well informed about the Word of God. This course presents the inspiration and authorship of the Bible, how it was preserved, why we believe it, how we deal with its problems and critics, the role of archeology, and ways to study the Bible more effectively.
  • 4 CEU's - Aside from personal faith in God, is there any evidence to substantiate the claims of Christianity? You be the judge! This text is an introduction to the study of apologetics. It will take you step-by-step through the well-documented evidence in support of Christian beliefs and Scripture. Whether a skeptic or a believer, this book will help you reach a verdict---that could very well change your life!
  • 4 CEU's - Evangelism is the mandate for church growth today. This course covers the biblical foundations of evangelism, conversion and regeneration, how to lead a person to a decision for Christ, age-specific techniques, team efforts, visitation, discipling new believers, and the importance of prayer to the overall program of evangelism.
  • 4 CEU's - This course offers a historical survey of missions with emphasis on the present worldwide scene, the biblical basis of missions, and the ways all believers can get involved. Every believer’s life will be enriched with the knowledge of God’s work through His people around the world.
  • 3 CEU's - This course provides a panorama of educational ministries in the local church: Sunday School, home Bible studies, summer ministries, retreats and camps, adult education, youth and club programs, children’s church, and missions. It presents each program’s uniqueness, strengths, structure and resources.
  • 3 CEU's -A strategy for growing toward Christlikeness must be based on the actual ways that people grow and develop into maturity in Christ. Through identifying and understanding how we grow spiritually, this course will help us to become more intentional in Bible study, prayer lifestyle choices, evangelism, and spiritual gifts.
  • 3 CEU's - S This course clarifies the traditional purposes, functions, and organization of the local church program known as Sunday School. It covers all aspects of the ministry of bringing children, youth, and adults to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, enriching their Christian lives, and preparing them to serve Christ.
  • 3 CEU's - This course is designed to provide in-depth training for those who are teaching the Bible to adults. Course sessions answer the following questions: Why is it important to teach adults? What are the characteristics of adults at various stages of life? How do adults learn, and how should they be taught? What are the key principles for organizing adult classes? By answering these questions, you can be better equipped to teach adults.
  • 3 CEU's - This course focuses on the philosophical basis of methodology, looks at the current learning theory research from a biblical perspective, and gives practical information on how to select and use various methods, including lecture, storytelling, panel discussion, simulation learning, group discussion, and others. It is a companion volume to the course Understanding Teaching.
  • 3 CEU's - The challenge to teach today’s teens begins with understanding them as learners. This course defines the climate for learning, developmental characteristics of teens, the current youth culture, and critical issues in youth ministry. It also equips teachers to lead teens to make their Christian faith their own.
  • 3 CEU's - Written with the lay person in mind, this course focuses on the important role of music and worship in the life of the church. It provides a historical overview of music and worship, biblical foundations for both, and practical instruction on how to renew both within the local church.
  • 3 CEU's - A biblical understanding of teaching brings appreciation for this spiritual gift. Approaching this task biblically involves empowerment from the Holy Spirit, insight into God’s Word, sharp communication skills, and accurate interaction with students. It is a companion volume to Teaching Techniques.
  • 3 CEU's - This new and revised leadership course will help leaders to base their leadership ministries on the timeless principles of God’s Word. Pastors, Christian education directors, youth workers, children’s directors, teachers, or other ministry leaders will grow in self-perception, skills, and vision as leaders. Both new and seasoned leaders will learn how to empower others to lead as they train, mentor, and mobilize teams for ministry.
  • 3 CEU's - Christian Ethics in a Postmodern World --- For the Christian, ethics must be rooted in the absolutes revealed in God’s Word to inform and nurture our moral conduct. Followers of Christ must learn to think biblically. A Christian approach to complex ethical topics in the postmodern era challenges us to identify how we relate to culture.
  • 3 CEU's - A Guide for All Church Leaders --- There are a wide variety of areas with which volunteer and professional church leaders must contend today. This course explains the difference in leaders who are effective and those who are efficient and what this means to the local church. (Also see Biblical Leadership.
  • 3 CEU's - Written as a basic introduction to the subject, this course covers the four major periods of church history: The Ancient Church, The Medieval Church, The Reformation Church, and The Modern Church. It is designed to give Christians an oversight of their spiritual heritage.
  • 3 CEU's - To truly understand people we must combine the rigorous formal study of developmental issues with our own observations and thorough study of Scripture. As biological, cognitive, socioemotional, and spiritual ministry implications are addressed for each major age division, this course helps the Bible teacher to work with all ages of people more effectively.
